Flexible Time Entry
Using Time/CX, non-exempt employees log time via a browser using
either the on-line time clock or a manual method
of time entry. When using the on-line time clock, the network time is
captured with optional rounding applied for payroll processing.
Manual time entry uses the honor system for hours
worked and requires the employee to enter their hours for each
day. If needed, a data collection device such as a card
swipe or key punch can be integrated to complement the
browser interface.
Comprehensive Absence Management
Time/CX allows employees to view their available balance for
each absence category defined. They can also view a snapshot
of all time-off they have taken this year and the time-off they
currently have scheduled for the remainder of the year. In
the end, calls to HR can be reduced significantly by giving
employees access to this information. The on-line absence
request form automatically forwards the request to the appropriate
"approver" based on company defined rules. The
request is approved or denied on-line and the employee is notified
by email of the decision. Once approved, the absence
calendar is automatically updated, which is available for all
members of the department to view. Payroll time records are
automatically created for all approved absences, thus eliminating
duplicate data entry. View more absence management features

Management Approval & Payroll Processing
At any time during the pay period, managers review and approve the
time for each subordinate to ensure accuracy and integrity.
The employee time review process includes a summary and allows the supervisor to
drill down on an employee name to view the individual time entries for the payroll period.
Time/CX will calculate all necessary payroll
information such as regular wages and overtime based upon company
policies. Export functionality then transfers data to a third
party payroll processor or in-house payroll system.
On-line Reporting
The on-line reporting allows employees to report on their
historical time records for not only the current year, but also
prior years. Managers have access to this same information
for all subordinates, thus eliminating the need to call payroll
when questions arise about time recorded in prior pay
periods.
Historical Audit Trail
Time/CX provides management with the ultimate time and attendance
audit trail by maintaining electronic time sheets for months or
even years. Be it a specific employee and date, or statistical
analysis for an employee group, Time/CX can simplify the lookup
and retrieval of this information. Additionally, all
activity is audited and logged, including any changes made to a
time record by a supervisor or manager.
Browser Technology - In-house or Hosted Implementation
Using browser-technology eases software distribution and management
concerns - something that is imperative within growing organizations. Employees access the system via
a browser, regardless of whether the system is deployed in-house
(loaded on a server within your company) or hosted using the
Centrix secure data center. All system administration is
also handled via a browser.
